Ready Set Volunteer and Staff Day
The Ready Set team of volunteers and staff came together in late March for an informative and enjoyable day to learn from each other and from guest speakers.
We were joined by Naomi Fox, Chair of our Board who led a fruitful discussion on strategic ideas. Graham, one of our dedicated career coaches and Ije, a former client who has gone on to a successful role in Accounting, shared insights into our career coaching program. Ije spoke about the impact of the career support she received from Graham and the overall job-readiness services Ready Set provides. We also heard from Lisa Ryan from WISE Employment who spoke about our strong partnership and the WISE Women program she manages. We also heard from Kai and Cherie from the Rainbow WISE program who provided us all with valuable insights to inform our work with non-binary, trans and LGBTIQA+ clients.
A big shout out to Wingate Financial Services who generously offered their magnificent premises to Ready Set along with great support from their team to set up the day.
It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together to learn more about our strategy, celebrate our achievements and acknowledge our commitment to this small, impactful organisation.
