Ready Set and Big Hug Group are proud to launch FutureFIT, a new workforce readiness program designed to support young people aged 15–24 as they take their first steps into employment.
This six-month pilot program runs July-December 2025 and will run from Big Group Hug’s Tarneit Hub. FutureFIT offers free wardrobe styling and interview-ready clothing to young people facing financial hardship in the cities of Wyndham, Hume, and Hobsons Bay.
Building Confidence for Employment
For many young jobseekers, confidence and presentation can be just as important as skills when it comes to landing a job. The right outfit can help unlock that confidence. FutureFIT provides a tailored, supportive experience to help young people make a strong first impression.
What FutureFIT Offers:
One-on-one personal styling sessions
Access to professional, interview-appropriate clothing
Support from trained volunteers
A safe, inclusive space to build confidence
Who is it for?
FutureFIT is available for young people facing financial hardship in the cities of Wyndham, Hume, and Hobsons Bay. Whether they’re experiencing long-term unemployment, or interviewing for their first jobs, if purchasing interview-appropriate clothing is beyond their reach, we’re here to help.

Experiencing financial hardship that prevents them from purchasing interview-appropriate clothing. Eligibility is assessed at the referrer’s discretion.
Cost

All others: The service is free
How to Refer: Submit Form then Book Appointment.
Submit Referral Form (here)
Include both referring partner and the young person’s details. (We collect limited data such as Health Care Card status to support funding applications in a de-identified aggregated way.)
Appointment Booking
Once Referral Form is submitted, you’ll receive an email confirmation from Ready Set with a Calendly link (in the ‘FutureFIT’ section of the email) to book an appointment time. Here you can provide details on their preferred clothing size and type of employment they are seeking so our volunteers can pre-select appropriate clothing.
Appointments are 30 minutes (may run longer).
Youth aged 15–17 should attend with a responsible adult (e.g. family member/caseworker).
Confirmation of appointment will be sent to the referral partner to forward on to the young person or their responsible adult.
24 hours before the appointment, a reminder will be issued to the referral partner.
What to Expect at the Appointment
The young person arrives at Big Group Hug’s Tarneit Hub, greeted by two volunteer stylists.
A short pre-session survey is completed.
The stylists help the young person explore clothing options, offering tips on styling for interviews.
Support people are welcome to observe and encourage the young person.
There is a private fitting room for trying on clothes.
After selecting an outfit (plus accessories), the young person completes a post-session survey and takes home their new look — ready to step into their future with the right fit.
